Bacardi B-Live Returns to OXEGEN Beardyman, Filthy Dukes, Krafty Kuts and A Skillz are among the acts on The BACARDI B-LIVE arena as it returns to OXEGEN again this year. BACARDI B-LIVE mixes the hottest music with the very best BACARDI cocktails for the ultimate festival experience, with the hugely-talented BACARDI B-LIVE bartenders on hand all weekend demonstrating their flair and serving up the latest and most refreshing cocktails – including the Ireland’s festival favourite – the Bacardi MOJITO. The original. The BACARDI B-LIVE Arena will kick off on Friday when UK dance act, DISCO BLOODBATH take to the stage and fill the arena with their unique blend of raw disco and vintage house. They will be followed by BEARDYMAN, the UK beat box champion twice over, who left music fans at last year’s B-LIVE stage shouting for more – his performance really is a MUST SEE. KRAFTY KUTS is guaranteed to cause a commotion when he takes to the stage on Friday night with his hip-hop and electro sounds. Enjoying a meteoric rise, his performance will showcase his cutting and scratching moves. Dancing is all about the drumbeat; percussionists who successfully master the art are few and far between, and Bacardi’s B-LIVE rhythm-king extraordinaire, BASIL is undoubtedly at the top of the food chain, and will be a masterful mainstay throughout the weekend. Basil will take the helm after Krafty Kuts and entertain all for the rest of the opening night. SOUND CHECK bring their weekly Dublin club night to the B-LIVE stage as they get Saturday off to a fine start. HORSE MEAT DISCO are dedicated to the industry of human happiness and they will pump it out for the rest of the afternoon. Up next will be UK house act, IDIOT PROOF, who will push the boundaries and keep ‘real house music alive’ over the festival weekend. FILTHY DUKES will then take to the stage and bring us into the night zone. These guys used to be DJs, now they are in band and for this performance they will be DJs again and their set will be packed with bleeping, popping analogue shakedowns. The final day of BACARDI B-LIVE at OXEGEN will be opened by the Irish, when REMEDY IRELAND gets going on the turntables. They will be followed by THE UNABOMBERS delving into a mystic brew of house, disco, broken beat, techo and northern sulphuric soul – a set of musical dynamite that will transfer energy to all on the final day. THE SLAMMIN BOYS aka Mark Hogg and Jamie Scahill will bring their Manchester residency to the OXEGEN community. These guys have performed everywhere from Russia to Spain and Denmark to the US that they are well worth checking out. A SKILLZ will follow, showcasing his deck skills with fusions of funk hip-hop breaks. His fierce production skills and turntable dexterity have seen him explode onto the global scene and he will be bringing that fiery enthusiasm to the BACARDI B-LIVE arena. All good things must come to an end, but not before BASIL says so, and closing duties will be left to him – you can be sure he will do it IN STYLE. For stage times, log on to www.bacardi.com or oxegen.ie. BACARDI B-LIVE showcases both international and emerging artists, providing a collaborative environment and rousing audio and visual experiences, designed to promote spontaneity through audience participation. No mystery that the 'spirit' behind the B-LIVE series is BACARDI. In 1862 in the city of Santiago de Cuba, Don Facundo Bacardi revolutionized the spirits industry when he began producing BACARDI Rum, the world's best-selling rum brand. Please enjoy Bacardi responsibly. Important Travel Advice Fans are encouraged to think ahead and book their bus travel now to help ensure speedier boarding for everyone.
